The Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress was a heavy bomber that was used during the Second World War. First designed in 1936 and was one of the most well known bombers during the 1940s. Notorious for being able to fly with extensive damage to the aircrafts structure, it was given the nickname the “Flying Fortress”.
